Working with Lord Cultural Consulting our team was selected to perform a site-wide analysis and proposal for the functional space study of the operational spaces of the Spadina Museum. After the completion of a major restoration project in the main house of the Spadina Museum — showcasing the house's interiors as they existed in the 20's and 30's between WWI and WWII.
The Museum is now in a position to reassess the functional usage of the spaces used for operations, the various array of school and public programming, and its availability as an event venue. Working with Lord, we produced an extensive report analyzing operations, current and future needs, and several options for the redevelopment of unrestored areas in support of a long-term growth and functional vision for the Museum. The report was submitted to City of Toronto for consideration in future incremental investments in the Spadina Museum.
